• Campbell-Tintah High School presents a play each fall.  Students in grades 9-12 participate.  The play is traditionally performed for the public on the Saturday before Thanksgiving.

    The students participating will put on the plays titled The Scheme of a Driftless Shifter and Alice Portnoy and the Bank Robbers on Saturday, November 19 at 7:30 p.m.  Cost is $4.00 for adults, $2.00 for students in grades 7-12 and $1.00 for elementary students and younger.
     
    The Scheme of a Driftless Shifter is a joyous play about....a play, written by Carolyn Lane. "It's all about the efforts of one bumbling cast and crew to produce a serious melodrama, and from the premature opening of the curtain to the completely confused curtain call, everything that could go wrong does.  The pianist plays the wrong music, the curtain opens too soon, there's an argument in the audience during the show, wrong sound cues, wigs come off, wrong speeches are given, wrong exits are made.  Yet, through it all, the players valiantly try to surmount the monumental confusion and create an atmosphere of madcap zeal!"
     
    Alice Portnoy and the Bank Robbers is a Carol Burnett Sketch.  Implied by the title, bank robbers are included in this short, entertaining play.  Alice Portnoy and the Fireside Girls are having a Mexican dinner and selling tickets to fund their winter trip.  She didn't think she would run into an issue like this...
